200 Trees for 200 Years!
Chapel Hill government turns 200 years old in November 2019. To celebrate, we are inviting the entire community to help us plant 200 trees for 200 years.
Community Partners
Community partners including UNC, the North Carolina Botanical Garden and Friends of Chapel Hill Parks & Recreation have committed to help us reach our goal. Stay tuned to learn more about where new trees are being planted throughout town.
Neighborhood Champions
Planting a tree is one of the easiest and most powerful things you can do to have a positive impact on the environment. Join us in reaching our goals by planting a tree in your yard this year and then drop a link in our interactive map!
How you can help – plant some trees!
· Plant a tree in your yard
· Invite friends, neighbors, local schools, churches and businesses to “put down roots” at their site
· Donate to Friends of Chapel Hill Parks & Recreation (using the Tree Committee button) to support plantings in public spaces
